Connie Toebe has been an artist for as long as she can remember.,She earned a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Connie has put her hand to varied media, from photography and filmmaking, creating shadow puppets, online interactive Flash storytelling, diorama boxes and painting.
Like many people, Connie’s life took a big shift during Covid. During that time she discovered embroidery. It quickly became more than a way to pass the time, it became a passion. Her whole artistic practice changed. Embroidery is now her main media for self expression.
