Emma Lyons Art

Inspired by Divisionism and Expressionism, Emma’s Abstracture style combines bold colorful strokes with geometric placement using a wet-on-wet technique. She sometimes combines this with her first passion of Figurative art, invoking themes of self esteem, authenticity, and acceptance. These works explore the idea of feeling allowed to take up space and to believe in our worth.

A self-trained artist, Emma creates her encouraging art in her Chicago home studio. She has hosted three solo shows, curated two group shows, and her work has been shared in a number of exhibitions. Her clients include Prada, InterContinental Hotel, Fairlife, and Chicago Shakespeare Theater, and collectors range from local Chicago to global South Korea.

“My style explores the idea of feeling allowed to take up space. So often we are told, with or without words, that we need to fit in or we won’t be enough, won’t be welcomed. Here, I welcome you. I encourage you to love your rich, colorful, beautifully imperfect self. You are a Work of Art.”

Art lovers and collectors can find her work on her website gallery at EmmaLyonsArt.com, in person at many summer art fairs throughout Chicago, and on social medias all under @EmmaLyonsArt.
